Last month, Plaisterers’ Hall hosted an exclusive lunch with their award-winning catering partner; Create Food and Party Design. The lunch was the first of a series of mouth-watering lunches for key buyers in the local vicinity. At this unique event, buyers from a handpicked selection of blue chip clients had the opportunity to network and spend time with their peer group.
The lunch commenced in the beautiful Livery Hall where guests enjoyed a champagne reception, as well as a selection of Create’s new standing starter plates, including ‘chargrilled quail’ with a watercress, pear and pickled raspberry salad, honey and thyme walnuts and a raspberry vinaigrette, beautifully presented on a stunning leaf shaped plate.
Dinner was served in the Great Hall showing off the opulent décor and the grand chandeliers. The tables were dressed with crisp white cloths and mirrored table tops with gorgeous spring flowers.
Honey and thyme crusted rump of lamb was served as a main course, with potato and Berkswell cheese gratin, summer greens, sugar snap peas and a greengage jus.
The beautifully presented mini strawberry millefeuille, rhubarb jelly and chocolate and passion fruit torte was a talking point of the lunch, thanks to the flair of our imaginative team of pastry chefs.
Based on a questionnaire (enquiring as to whether there was any life left in printed marketing collateral) circulated to our guests present at the dinner, 42% thought they were antiquated and of no use, 38% thought they served a purpose and the remainder thought they were useful but would prefer e-brochures over hard copy. The debate continues internally on whether our next brochure will be virtual or printed. Let us know what you think.
