The End of a Busy Year at Plaisterers’ Hall

This year has been a busy one at Plaisterers’ Hall. 2012 has seen conferences, dinners, weddings and parties taking place in this pre-eminent city event space, and the fantastic feedback which followed is testament not only to the versatility and flexibility of the venue but also to our capable and experienced team who have worked tirelessly to exceed the expectations of our guests throughout the year.

The grand space of our Great Hall lends itself perfectly to conferences, which benefit from the extensive range of audiovisual equipment available on site. A September conference for ABB’s Capital Markets Day saw the space transformed with a complex audiovisual installation which made full use of our in-house capabilities, and added to them! The day proved a huge success, with Carmen Fuez of ABB commenting, “It was a great pleasure to work with you and your team! There was always a ‘yes we can’ and never ever a ‘no we cannot make it’! Many thanks!”

The Great Hall is ideal for dinners, creating a breathtaking setting in which to savour the fantastic event catering provided by our approved caterers Create Food & Party Design. October saw the Police Federation host a meal and awards ceremony for three hundred guests in this stunning space. As the magnificent chandeliers sparkled overhead guests celebrated the occasion with an unforgettable three course meal. Jill Vale, PA to The Chairman & Vice Chairman said “I would like to thank you for all your assistance throughout the arranging of this event and on the day. You and your staff have been extremely helpful and professional at all times…We would be happy to return to Plaisterers’ Hall for this event in the future.”

The Royal British Legion chose our spectacular Great Hall as the setting for their Poppy Ball on the 8th November. Two hundred invited guests sat down to a three course meal in the stunning surrounds of this neo-classical room, where they too enjoyed a mouth-watering menu provided by Create Food & Party Design. The event proved hugely successful, raising £200,000 for the Royal British Legion. Rula Al-Adasani said, “The service and the food were impeccable. We are extremely grateful to you for your tolerance on the evening and for working hard with us to ensure that all guests left happy.”

The grandeur of Plaisterers’ Hall makes it a fabulous setting for weddings. Boasting an enviable location between the City and West End, Plaisterers’ Hall is a beautiful backdrop to ceremonies and receptions. The spacious venue is ideal for large celebrations, and has proved a popular setting for Asian and Jewish weddings as well as Western weddings this year.

The magnificent space of the Great Hall is the perfect setting for a wedding chuppah. Larwrence and Patti chose Plaisterers’ Hall as the venue for their Jewish wedding and were delighted with how the evening went. The couple said, “The evening was magical, it couldn’t have been better, thank you so much. The chuppah, the bands, the flowers, the lighting, the food, all were terrific.”

Newlyweds Lara and Jonny too were delighted with their special day at Plaisterers’ Hall, getting in touch to say, “The day ran very smoothly, you and your immaculately run team were always at hand whenever needed to allay any fears…We highly recommend any prospective clients to put their trust in you, they will be, as we were, delighted.”

Throughout December festive spirit has been filling the air at Plaisterers’ Hall. The venue has been transformed by a Sleigh Bells and Cocktails theme for Christmas parties. The splendour of the venue has been complemented by classic Christmas decor, traditional carol singers and a divine Christmas banquet by Create Food & Party Design. A recent guest commented, “I’ve heard only good things about last night, everyone loved the venue, food and music!”
