Meet the team - Steven Williamson

I am the Operations Manager at Plaisterers' Hall, which means that I am responsible for the smooth running of all the events that take place at the Hall.

I have been in the catering industry for 14 years, with six of those in events, and have experienced almost every type of Livery function there is, meaning that I am no stranger to all of the intricacies that make up these formal dinners.

I'm the one who is responsible for making sure the front-of-house activity is delivered seamlessly, whilst ensuring that all is running to schedule in the hectic environment that is the kitchen.

I learnt early on in my career that the best way to achieve successful events time and time again is to always expect the unexpected. From dignitaries arriving late to special dietaries turning up unannounced, this job is often not for the faint-hearted!

Outside of work my real passion is cycling and I went from one side of the park to the other last week without my stabilisers on! In all seriousness, I do try and cycle as much as possible and only last summer cycled from London to Amsterdam and back again...for fun!

I look forward to meeting you next time you have an event at this fantastic venue.
