February saw Plaisterers’ Hall host a prestigious award ceremony and dinner for Euromoney’s Private Banking Awards 2016.
Euromoney’s Private Banking Awards are the most prestigious in the growing area of wealth management. They cover over 60 countries each year, as well as global and regional awards. They are voted for by the people who know the industry best – the private bankers themselves. Winning an award is a confirmation of excellence in wealth management, which banks use to promote their credentials to clients – and a cause for celebration at the annual Awards Dinner.
This year’s ceremony took began with a champagne reception at Plaisterers’ Hall. Guests were greeted with champagne and champagne cocktails in the Livery Hall, before the call to dinner in the stunning Great Hall.
Following a short opening speech, dinner was served. Guests enjoyed a trio of salmon, with confit, cured and tea smoked salmon served with compressed cucumber, pea puree and seaweed, or cherry tomato tart, with olive tuile, basil and tomato mousse and pesto dressing. Guests then tucked into a main course of aged beef striploin, with chard, turnips and a truffle pommes purée, or butternut squash cannelloni, butternut squash and spinach and aubergine with a cep veloute.
The meal ended with a dessert of praline chocolate with a nutty chocolate tuille, cranberry shortbread and raspberry ice cream, followed by coffee and petit fours.
Plaisterers’ Hall lends itself perfectly to formal events such as award ceremonies, and is fully equipped to produce the most complex of ceremonies, thanks to its unrivalled audiovisual equipment, production partners and in-house technical staff.
